The LLA cryoscope ´ULTRASONIC 10S´ is an automatic cryoscope for the determination of added water in milk. This new cryoscope combines the conventional properties of modern analyzers with the new technique of ultra-sound induced freezing point agitation.
The reliable reproducibility of freezing point plateaus depends strongly on the homogene nucleation in recristallisation of water. The ultrasound induced nucleation guarantees a stable freezing point plateau, which achieves highly accurate results. The ultrasound freeze pulse is consistent, therefore all stirrer-related problems common to other methods of freeze inducement are removed.
